Sesame Fowler
I'm originally from Brooklyn, New York. I received all my lower education there and, also, attended Brooklyn College. I worked as a secretary for a Manhattan travel agency before moving to Santa Fe in 1969. Drawn by the lifestyle of the Southwest, I eventually settled in Southern Colorado’s Huerfano Valley. My husband, Jim, and I raised our four children, Tala, Electra, Waska and Star here in our Libre home. We are now the proud grandparents of six grandchildren.
Professionally, I practiced as a Licensed Massage Therapist until my retirement in 2009. My experience includes serving as a Massage Therapist at La Clinica from 1982 to 1985 and practicing at the Family Medicine Clinic in Walsenburg for over twenty years.
Regarding my board service, I served as an alternate on the La Clinica Board from September 2025 to January 2026. Following the passing of Dr. Margaret Hecht, who will be deeply missed, I formally requested to transition into a full Board Member role.
I am deeply committed to La Clinica’s legacy and its role in serving the Gardner community. It is my heartfelt wish to see our non profit facility grow and thrive and I look forward to working alongside my fellow board members to achieve this goal.
